What we collect

When you sign up for updates on this site, we collect the information you voluntarily submit through the signup form: your email address, and optionally your name. We don't collect anything beyond what you enter into that form.

How we use it

Your email address is used solely to send you updates about GEAR UP! — including whether the event is moving forward, dates, pricing, and related announcements. We send roughly 2–3 emails per month during the interest-gathering phase, with more frequent updates in the weeks leading up to the event if it's confirmed.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your email is not used for anything beyond communicating about this event.

How we send emails

Email updates are sent using Sendy, a self-hosted email platform, delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). Bounce and complaint handling is managed automatically to keep our list accurate and to honor opt-outs promptly.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from the list immediately — no login, no confirmation steps, no contacting us required.

Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address is removed from active sending and retained only as needed to honor that opt-out and prevent re-adding you accidentally.

Your rights

• You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• You can request to know what information we have on file for you.
• You can request that we delete your information entirely.
